Announcing the inaugural class of Opera NexGen Interns!

These high school students will be working closely with our staff to learn practical skills in the marketing, development, production, and administrative fields. We are excited to welcome them to the team and cannot wait to see what they accomplish throughout the year.



Let’s meet the 2021-22 interns:

Ryu Vongsaly (he/him/his)

What is your internship position? Administrative Intern

What year of school are you in? Sophomore

A little bit about Ryu: Ryu is working to learn and grow his business management and accounting skills and apply his skills outside of the classroom! After his internship, he intends to finish his high school degree and start working in an entry-level management position.

Harsha Pillai (she/her/hers)

What is your internship position? Development Intern

What year of school are you in? Junior year

A little bit about Harsha: She has been part of the school orchestra for 7 years, playing the violin and loves to make music. Harsha has taken part in many fundraisers to help raise money for her school and has great interest in helping others. In her free time, Harsha likes to play tennis, spend time with her friends, and bake.

Nancy Manasreh (she/her/hers)

What is your internship position? Marketing Intern

What year of school are you in? Junior year

A little bit about Nancy: Nancy is in the digital marketing field and her main interests include tennis, art, and graphic design. She plays violin for the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, is a leader for the Rally foundation in school, and is also secretary for Model United Nations. She is fluent in Arabic and loves traveling as well as the performing arts.

Shaurik Mukhopadhyay (he/him/his)

What is your internship position? Production Intern

What year of school are you in? Sophomore year

A little bit about Shaurik: Shaurik chose to take part in Opera NexGen to immerse himself in the theater atmosphere and learn more about singing and styles of the art associated with it. It is a passion very dear to him. Overall, Shaurik finds himself to be enthusiastic and engaging, looking forward to being part of the team and progressing his skills.

Lindsay Khalluf (she/her/hers)

What is your internship position? Multi-Media Intern

What year of school are you in? Senior year

A little bit about Lindsay: Lindsay has a passion for art and design. She has been drawing for 4 years, and recently began working in graphic design & marketing for numerous companies and nonprofits. In her free time, Lindsay likes writing and the outdoors.
